Jazzaldia 2022: general information
Jazzaldia, popularly known as the San Sebastian Jazz Festival, is a music festival that has been held in San Sebastian since 1966, making it the oldest jazz festival in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. Since its beginnings, it has brought together the greatest jazz artists, both national and international, of the last 50 years.
To give you an idea, Charles Mingus,2 Ella Fitzgerald, Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Art Blakey, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Stan Getz, Don Cherry, Ornette Coleman, Gerry Mulligan, Weather Report, Hank Jones, Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner and Wynton Marsalis are some of the artists who have played on the Jazzaldia stages.
Its popularity has been growing as time has gone by, and in the edition held in 2019, they achieved a record number of attendees: 168,000 people. In addition, the festival, every night in the space of Zurriola Beach, offers a series of free concerts.

How to get to Jazzaldia
To get to the place where the festival is held, from Topfestivales we suggest the following options:
- Plane. The nearest airport is San Sebastian Airport, located in Hondarribia, about 22 kilometers from San Sebastian. Once there the best option is to take a bus towards Donostia, and get off at Zorriola.
- By train. A train from your city to San Sebastian is another of the best options. The train will leave you at Amara Station, and the best option to get to the venue is to take bus number 17 in the direction of Maria Cristina pte./zubia.
- By car. It is always the most comfortable and flexible option, besides, with google maps you won't get lost. You can also consider other options such as car sharing or car rental.
