Download Festival 2022: general information

Download Festival is a music festival held annually in the county of Leicestershire, United Kingdom, since 2003. Specifically, its shows take place at Donington Park, located in the same county.

The festival usually lasts approximately two or three days, and is usually held in June. You can enjoy the hardest and most daring rock styles such as heavy metal or punk, among many others. Do you want to go and discover them?

Currently this festival has four stages, between which divides the shows of the artists that make up each of its editions.

Def Leppard, Slipknot, Tool, Slash, Slayer, The Smashing Pumpkins, Whitesnake, Die Antwoord, Guns N'Roses, Marilyn Manson or Arch Enemy, are some of the artists who have made up past editions of the festival.

How to get to Download Festival

To get to the festival, from Topfestivales we recommend the following options:

Plane. The best option to get to the festival. The nearest airport to the county where it takes place is East Midlands Airport, about 15 miles away. Once there the best option would be to take the Skylink Derby bus towards Leicest, which will drop you off near the venue.
Car. This is another of the best options. Besides being the most comfortable and flexible option, with google maps it won't be difficult to get to your destination. You can also opt for other options such as carpooling or car hire if you don't have your own.
