The Festival de la Luz was born in the year 2012 and was created by Luz Casalwith the collaboration of the City Council. Note that this festival is held in the hometown of Luz Boimorto and, as a curious fact, the money raised is donated to charitable associations or charities.

There are also other activities, including children's games and workshops for the youngest members of the family, light market where attendees can see a wide variety of products.

Groups and artists such as Los Suaves, Kase O, Los Suaves, Love of Lesbian, Kitai, Egon Soda and Gus Gus have performed at this event.
